Everyone who donates that day will be entered to win a pair of tickets to an upcoming BOB show!! There is a need for all blood types. Make your appointment to DONATE TODAY! DID YOU KNOW...?? · Between July 18 and September 11 Canadian Blood Services needs to collect 137,200 units of blood to meet hospital demand nationally.· Over the coming weeks, Canadian Blood Services expects to ship more blood to hospitals than we expect to collect.· However, we are already 10,000 donation appointments short of where we should be. That gap could increase as the summer progresses causing a strain on our currently healthy reserves of blood and blood products. · Across the country, more donors are needed to book appointments by September 11th in order to align donations with hospital demand.· This means that Canadian Blood Services is calling on donors in Winnipeg to help meet patient needs for the remainder of the summer. · It’s estimated that one out of two Canadians is eligible to donate blood. Last year, one in 60 actually did. A small number of Canadians are meeting the entire country’s increasing needs. · If you have ever thought about donating blood, or if you are a donor who hasn’t given in the last two months, Canadian Blood Services needs you more than ever.
